How old are your vehicles ?
All our vehicles are new latest models and most under 6 months old
What does the price include?
The price includes insurance and Vat, unlimited mileage, breakdown cover and a free 2nd driver ( Drivers 25 yrs to 75yrs old )
What driving licence do I need?
A full driving licence held for at least 2yrs. If held for only one year you may still hire a vehicle but on some occasions different rates may apply.
Where do you keep your vehicles?
We keep vehicles at most of the Major train stations throughout Cornwall and of course Newquay Airport for your ease of collection and return. Book securely on-line at most locations. Please see the list when booking,
Will you deliver the vehicle for FREE?
Delivery is Free on a Hire of 2 to 3 days or more anywhere in Cornwall subject to availability at time of booking and depending on how busy we are that day and staff availability at time of booking.
Delivery is Free on any hire 1 day hire etc in the Newquay Area. i.e To a Hotel, Campsite etc in the Newquay area subject to availability at time of booking.
Will you pick up the vehicle?
Yes. If we dropped it off we'll pick it up.
We offer the facility to leave rentals at most train stations and Newquay Airport for your convenience. A one way hire between different Stations in Cornwall and Newquay Airport is possible but a supplement may apply.
What about endorsements?
If you are over 25 then you can have 2 /3 minor convictions in the last 3 years i.e 2/3 minor speeding offences / mobile phone etc 3 pts each that did not involve a disqualification. If you have been disqualified or you are not sure, please phone the office to discuss your convictions. If you are 21 to 24 years of age then no more than 3 pts in the last 3 years
How can I pay?
We accept Credit or debit cards. Please note we don't take AMERICAN EXPRESS.
Do I need to pay in advance?
If you book SECURELY on-line it is all paid for and you take advantage of a great price and the vehicle group you want, and the knowledge your booking is secure.
What are the age limits for the drivers?
Usually 25yrs to 75yrs FOR A STANDARD HIRER. AGES 21 TO 24 different rates/terms apply (typically £10.00 to £15.00 a day ) and If you are over 75 TO 79 YRS you can still hire a vehicle but the rates may vary. You need to be 25 to a 7/8/9 seater and 25yrs for certain models.
How many drivers can we have?
You get one extra driver free of charge on all hires. Any additional driver is £5.00 to £10.00 per day depending on how many days of hire it is (minimum £15.00 charge)
Can I drive a rental vehicle on a Non UK Licence?
We take the following licences as standard
UK, EU and European Licences, Australia, N/zealand, Canada. Usa, S/ African And Japan
other Countries not listed can usually hire as standard but sometimes different rates apply
we do not take licences from certain countries as follows
South America. India, Pakistan, Malasia, China, Thailand.
Do you require a Deposit?
Deposits vary and normally cover the standard Excess of £750.00.(See CDW)
Can I pay a COLLISION DAMAGE WAIVER (CDW) to delete my excess?
A CDW Collision damage waiver can be paid locally to reduce your excess to £150.00 or Zero, depending on your vehicle, location and drop off. Typically the cost is approximately £12.00 per day.
Will I get my deposit back?
Your deposit will be refunded to you in full when you return the vehicle. If any damage has occurred while the vehicle has been in your care, the cost of the repair will be deducted from your deposit and the remaining balance refunded to you.
Can I take the vehicle abroad?
No
What happens if the vehicle breaks down?
This is unlikely but in this event all vehicles are covered by breakdown cover whilst in your care.
